Limes

Dr. Maria Montessori was born in Italy in 1870 and died in The Netherlands in 1952, after a lifetime devoted to the study of child development.

Maria Montessori's philosophy regards each child as a unique creation with a unique contribution to make to humanity. The Montessori College A.M.I. seeks to make known her vision for the development of the child in society, to enrich Irish education and to train teachers to practise a scientific pedagogy based on observation of the child.

It is our aim to ensure that an in-depth, comprehensive study of the principles and pedagogy of Maria Montessori is promoted and facilitated for the learners enabling them to apply these principles and pedagogical methods in the classroom, for the benefit of children, parents and the wider community.
